[email protected] CURRICULUM

A desecrator of art in which houses a controversial personality who wants to shout out to the world his contempt for every form of consumerism. [email protected], an eclectic and controversial British artist, is among the new faces of contemporary art. After the critical acclaim received at the “Miami Scope Art Fair ” in the symbolic city of Floridalast December, his works are present in the Prince Art Gallery stand at the “Scope Art Show” contemporary art fair, in New York from 5th to 8thMarch 2020.

[email protected]’s personality is shrouded in mystery.

All we know about him is that he comes from wealthy places in Glasgow and London where he was born and raised but from which he distanced himself since a very young age.

His art, however, has traveled around the world (Hollywood, Art Basel Miami in 2016 and Milan are just some of the locations where he exhibited his works) and is known and appreciated especially by American collectors, so much so that in Miami of his works – entitled “ThisisShit ” – was sold for the sum of 70 k USD.

Art has fascinated him since he was a little boy bu this talent is a multifaceted one: he also has cinematographic collaborations to his credit.

Many compared his art to that of Andy Warhol, the emblematic artist of pop art. And in fact his works present ideas that some how seem to lead back to the artistic concept of Warhol, which, however, in [email protected]’s art, can be considered as a starting point from which to begin exploring and discovering other artistic scenes . [email protected]’s works are the result of continuous research and for this Very Reason and due to originality, they cannot be categorised in subsets such as conceptual art or pop art.

[email protected] destroys cult objects of modern society – design and fashion articles, vintage toys, magazines – both physically and metaphorically by using color (especiallyred and white). For the British artist, the purification process passes through reconstruction using not only different techniques and other objects but also words that can be suitable for different meanings and interpretations. In this way [email protected] who defines himself as a “pop conceptual” artist who brings with him every thing that represented the avant-garde movement of the twentieth century – wants to communicate the vein of madness that crosses contemporary society and, perhaps, also his mind and his heart, crossed by a continuous disturbante that shake his works (Red).
